The show opens with the intro video.

Jungle Boy gets a vignette during his entrance of him apparently burying something out in the desert somewhere.

A limousine pulls up and he gets in and drives off.

HOOK (c) vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry (FTW Championship)

Perry charging in, HOOK sidesteps and lights him up with body blows! Jack rolls to the floor, HOOK gives chase but Jungle Boy puts him into the barricade and chops him hard! HOOK with a flying punch off the barricade, back inside, Perry with elbows, whip to the corner, rake of the eyes and referee Paul Turner warns him off!

Struggling around the ring, Paul Turner smashed in the corner, HOOK hits the Taz-Plex but there’s no referee! Perry cracks HOOK across the head with the title, Turner recovers…

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry wins by pinfall with a one-arm pin and the most shit-eating grin on his face, becoming the new FTW Champion.

We get footage from Alex Marvez from earlier about a secret meeting between Chris Jericho and Don Callis.

The camera spies Callis showing Jericho something on his phone but he quickly notices Marvez and sics security on him.

Taz is sad about his kid losing and doesn’t want to be on camera while commentary tosses to another Adam Cole / Maxwell Jacob Friedman vignette.

Cole wants Max to face his fears, including eating really spicy food and poor people, and he wants to face them together with him. MJF is upset about going to a Chinese restaurant in Boston but he goes along with it. Friedman does a Hogan-esque retelling of slamming Big Bill as food arrives.

They dig in and it is very spicy, and then when they ask for water they get 100% alcohol and the evening devolves from there. They drunkenly talk about the waiter being a dead ringer for Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia and hit the poor guy with the double clothesline!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get more footage of Alex Marvez trying to get a scoop.

He interviews Don Callis and Chris Jericho, who mock him and provide no answers.

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Kayla Sparks

Baker in control early, Sling Blade, confident enough to put the glove on right away but Sparks gets a boot up in the corner! Britt with the butterfly suplex, fisherman neckbreaker…

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD wins by submission with Lockjaw.

Renee Paquette interviews Adam Cole and MJF backstage.

Cole says he’s not surprised by their chemistry, it’s lightning in a bottle and they’re gonna win tonight and then win the tag titles. Max says they’ve only got Plan A, which is the double clothesline, and talks some trash about their opponents. He has a gift for Adam and he goes and gets it, which is matching trunks!

Adam goes and gets the matching jackets he had made for them! He promises one more surprise but says Friedman will have to wait for it, and they go off together.

A frustrated Roderick Strong rolls up after to bemoan his pal Adam Cole trusting MJF.

Better Than You, Bay Bay (Adam Cole & Maxwell Jacob Friedman) vs. Jericho Appreciation Society (“Red Death” Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara) (Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament Finals)

Chris Jericho is on commentary for this one.

Friedman and Garcia to start, awkward dance off, and then we get a REAL tag team dance off, Cole dancing, record scratch, JAS attack and NOW we get a real bell!

Garcia with a side headlock on MJF, shot off, drop down, Cole runs interference, Friedman with an eye poke and ping-ponging Dan with punches! Caling for it early, double whip, Guevara saves his partner but they both get clobbered by forearms! Max getting the crowd fired up, off the ropes a few times but MJF just taunts!

Adam pulled off the apron, Garcia drops Friedman and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Friedman on the comeback, off the ropes, headbutt leaves him stumbling… falling headbutt right to Sammy’s gentleman’s area! Guevara tags in, kicked off, JAS double-teams to block the tag and THEY want the double clothesline! MJF ducks under it, tag to Cole!

Pump kicks aplenty, fired up, fireman’s carry, slip out, kick combination, no dice on Panama Sunrise and Garcia puts boots to him in the corner! Fending Daniel off, Sammy springboards in and Adam cuts him out of midair with a superkick! Tag to Friedman, double whip, duck the double clothesline, double Spanish Fly for two!

MJF wants Cross Rhodes, blind tag, Cole blasts Sammy with a superkick! Fired up, double whip, double clothesline denied! Garcia with a blind tag, double chop block, Dragonslayer applied! Garcia to the floor, Cole holds the ropes open… MAX DIVES AND TAKES HIM OUT!

Back inside, Panama Sunrise, tag to MJF, double whip… DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! THEY DID IT!

Better Than You, Bay Bay win by pinfall with a double clothesline on Daniel Garcia, winning the Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament and becoming #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Post-match, Cole admires MJF’s world title belt and Max gets upset at him.

Adam explains that he was just going to give it to him, it’s his title and they hug it out.

FTR make their entrance and confront their new number one contenders in the ring.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, we get a recap of last week’s episode of Collision.

Renee Paquette interviewes Best Friends, Kris Statlander, Darby Allin, & Nick Wayne.

She runs down their upcoming obligations and Darby says if Swerve wants his attention, he’s got it, and he’s going to beat him. Allin asks Orange for a favor for an old friend who took him in when he was homeless, and he asks him for a title match for AR Fox.

Orange agrees, Best Friends put their hands in but Allin and Wayne demure. Renee goes for it, though.

Chompy dances behind the commentary station to hype up Shark Week while they hype up the next week of action.

Blackpool Combat Club begin making their entrance and we go to break.
