SHERBURN — There will be a Crest Lunch & Learn program starting 11 a.m. today, July 19, at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont, followed by a light lunch. This is a free program for anyone living in Martin County. A donation for the lunch is appreciated.
The Sherburn Legion will have their ‘Hamburger Night’ from 5-8 p.m. tonight, July 19, with a grilled burger and all the fixings, salad and baked beans for only $10. Sounds yummy and for a good cause too.
Condolences to the family of Laura Bloomgren who passed away recently. She will be missed.

The Sherburn Theatre will repeat the movie ‘Sound of Freedom’ this weekend, July 21 to 23. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturdayand 4 p.m. on Sunday. This is a movie about a veteran that helps children escape human trafficking.
There will be one more Tuesday coffee hours in July from 8:30-10 a.m. on July 25, at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn just south of I-90. Join friends and neighbors for coffee and fellowship. In August the Tuesday coffee hours will be held at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Sherburn, and in September at St. Paul’s UCC Church in Welcome.
There will be a Memory CafÈ meeting for caregivers and family of dementia patients beginning 3 p.m. Monday, July 24, at the Temperance Lake Ridge facility.
The Martin County West School newsletter is full of information. One page gives parents information about school supplies needed by each grade. There is also information about registration of students which will be online only beginning August 14. If anyone does not have access to a computer, etc., they may use one at the school. FFA information about the Martin County Fair is also in the July newsletter.
Sundaes at the Park in Trimont will continue on August 6 with Vicki Beckendorf entertaining. The last Sundaes event will be on August 27 featuring the Fett Brothers.
