Church hosts community blood drive

The Kentucky Blood Center recently hosted the Anderson County Community annual blood drive on July 11 at First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. Kentucky Blood Center team members stated this blood drive was successful in having nearly 40 people donate their blood for a good cause. Each person donating received a gray T-shirt with Kentucky Blood Center’s tagline “Give Local” in green. The Kentucky Blood Center is a nonprofit organization that prides itself on being community based and providing blood products to Kentucky Hospitals. Their mission is “to ensure a safe and abundant supply of life-giving blood to the hospitals we serve. We are here to support our local communities in any way that we are able by being an integral and valued partner in the healthcare arena.”
