LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Backswing Brewing Co. partnered with the Red Cross on Friday to host a pint for pint blood drive.
The blood drive occurred at the brewery, which offered online signups or walk-ins a voucher for a free pint.
This is the first time Backswing has hosted a blood drive, and it’s planning another one in September at its Omaha location.
“It’s really just to do something to give back,” owner Cory Sinclair said. “It’s been nice to be able to find a day to use our brewery space for something else and give back to the community.”
Over 25 people donated to help fight the ongoing blood shortage.
