The prosecutor’s office in Kharkiv region opened a criminal case over the violation of the laws and customs of war following a Russian army attack on Kupyansk town and district killing and injuring civilians.
“Under the procedural guidance of the district prosecutor’s offices of Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation data, around 20:20 on August 5, the Russian military struck non-residential premises in Kruhliakivka village, Kupyansk district, with two guided aerial bombs. A large-scale fire broke out. According to preliminary data, two people were killed and four more were injured,” the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office posted on Telegram.
The occupiers also shelled the town of Kupyansk again. Houses and outbuildings were damaged. A 55-year-old man received a shrapnel injury.
Russian shelling, probably using Grad MLRS, damaged private houses in the village of Petropalivka.
In Tymofiyivka village, the enemy fired at a quail farm. As a result of enemy artillery shelling on Huryiv Kozachok village, a house and an outbuilding were damaged.
As reported, on the evening of August 5, the Russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on a blood transfusion center in Kupyansk community in Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties and injuries.
