Blood stains on pavement on residential Edinburgh street sealed off by police

Police officers are guarding the scene of an incident that left blood splattered on the pavement in a residential area of Edinburgh.

A photograph taken by the Evening News shows an area of pavement outside a block of flats on Loaning Road, in the Craigentinny area of the city, taped off by police. Blood can be seen on the pavement inside the police cordon.

The flats are close to Craigentinny Primary School.
