VINCENT — The Amy Stemple Honorary Blood Drive will be held 1-6 p.m. Aug. 29, 30 and 31 at the Barlow Fairgrounds dining hall on Ohio 339 in Vincent.

According to Sharon Kesselring, executive director of the American Red Cross of the Ohio River Valley, the Red Cross has seen a shortfall in blood donations this summer. The shortfall makes it difficult to keep hospital shelves stocked with blood products.

“We need donors to give now to keep the national blood supply from falling to shortage levels,” she said.

Everyone who donates in August will get a $10 e-gift card to a movie merchant of their choice. Details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/Movie, Kesselring said.

Amy Stemple in 2021 was involved in an accident that severely damaged her legs and left her in critical condition. She required multiple surgeries and 26 units of blood.
