Blood for Beer: Boulevard Brewing hosts blood drive during pint for pint donation drive
The Community Blood Center has partnered with 25 breweries, wineries, and restaurants to offer a special incentive: a free beer for every blood donation. The donation drive comes as blood supplies in Kansas City continue to struggle in their recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.The drive, which runs until September 10th, allows donors to give blood in exchange for a complimentary beer at one of the participating establishments.”In the United States, we rely on volunteer blood donors to come in to blood drives like this, or donor centers like ours, and make a blood donation, and donate their time, donate their blood, so that patients have what they need,” said Chelsey Smith of the Community Blood Center.
