Cardiologist, Fellowship-Trained in Cardiovascular Diseases Joins Cardiovascular Care – Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group – Florida Hospital News and Healthcare Report

August 10, 2023 Oral Waldo, MD, a cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular diseases has joined Cardiovascular Care – Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group and opened his cardiology practice in West Palm Beach. Dr. Waldo specializes in adult cardiology as well as sees patients ages 16-years and up, pre-op evaluations, echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) and electrocardiogram (EKG) testing, Holter heart rhythm monitor, high cholesterol management and preventive medicine. Experienced in the diagnosis and management of heart conditions, Dr. Waldo also specializes in abnormal heart rhythms including atrial fibrillation (AFib), hypertension, heart attack treatment, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. Dr. Waldo is certified in Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is on-staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Prior to joining the Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group, Dr. Waldo worked as a cardiologist at the Heart and Family Health Institute, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) located in Port St. Lucie, FL. For his education and training, Dr. Waldo completed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education located in Scottsdale, Ariz. Dr. Waldo also completed an internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He graduated medical school from Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C.

During his residency and fellowship, Dr. Waldo presented his cardiology findings nationally at medical association meetings and had his cardiovascular disease research published in peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Waldo is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and American Heart Association. He has been practicing medicine since 2011.
