NAGPUR:A 62-year-old passenger onboard an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Ranchi died after vomiting blood mid-flight. The flight made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport due to the passenger’s health condition.
The medical team of KIMS-Kingsway hospital, stationed at the Nagpur airport for emergencies, attended to him. A press release issued by the hospital said the passenger was suffering from tuberculosis and chronic kidney disease (CKD). He vomited a large amount of blood in the aircraft and was brought dead to the hospital. The body has been taken to Government Medical College and Hospital for further procedure.
This is the second incident of a patient being brought dead to the hospital from airport. Last week, a 40-year-old IndiGo pilot died while he was at the security hold area of the airport, waiting to fly a Nagpur-Pune flight .
