Eyedrops recalled because they may cause bacterial and fungal infections

Dr. Berne’s Whole Health Products has recalled four types of eyedrops after one failed sterility tests.
Recalled are all lots of MSM drops 5% and 15% solution, organic castor oil eyedrops and MSM mist 15% because one lot of the MSM drops 5% was positive for bacterial and fungal contamination, according to an announcement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
All of the eyedrops were recalled “out of an abundance of caution” because “using contaminated eye drops could result in minor to serious vision-threatening infection which could possibly progress to a life-threatening infection.”
Dr. Berne’s said it has received two reports of “adverse events related” to the recall.
The eyedrops were distributed through the Dr. Berne’s online store.
