Blood drive next week in Fairmont

CEYLON — Since it is the first Saturday of September, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon has Saturday evening services at 5:30 p.m. tonight with communion. They will have services the first and third Saturdays. They will also have a Bible study at 9:30 a.m. on

Tuesdays at the church. All area residents are welcome to join them for services and Bible study. Rev. Reimers will lead the services and Bible study.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have a 10 a.m. communion service on Sunday, but starting on Sept. 10, the service at the church in Wilbert will be held at 9:30 a.m. with communion on the first and third Sundays. Pastor Hagen or Wilson will lead the service.

Circle of Faith parishes are reminded that their Sunday service schedule for September will be a 9 a.m. service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome and a 10:30 a.m. service at First Lutheran Church in Trimont.

St. Peter Lutheran WELCA women’s group is scheduled to meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the church in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of September will be held 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for good brew, goodies and great fellowship every Tuesday in September.

Condolences to the family of Dallas Schmidt, former resident of Ceylon, who passed away recently. He will be missed.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be in Fairmont from Sept. 5-7 at the Best Western Motel. Times are 12:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
