JAMESTOWN — Sixty-one individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 55 individuals were able to successfully donate at the Vitalant blood drive on Aug. 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Seventy-three units of blood were collected at the drive, and nine donors gave Power Red Cells (2RBC), where two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. Two people volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Trinity Lutheran Church, which provided the location for the blood drive, as well as those who donated at the drive.
