Spas can spread ‘serious infections,’ health agencies warn. How to keep safe on your spa day

While relaxing, a trip to the spa could land you in the hospital or worse, warns a new notice from the municipality of York Region.

Spas not following proper precautions could be contributing to the spread of “serious infections” including HIV, hepatitis B and C, skin infections and more, the region’s public health agency said.
