Happening this weekend, September 16-17, Timeless Touch Medical Aesthetics is offering up a big incentive for you to roll up your sleeves and give the gift of life. They are giving out $250 gift cards in exchange for donating blood. This, as the state and the nation deal with a critical shortage of blood.The owners of the clinic want to help drive up supply, since this time of year the shelves at many blood banks are critically low. They also want to educate people about how easy it is to donate, and why it is so critical. Brittani Naccari Farrell, owner of Timeless Touch Medical Aesthetics, says, “Some of these procedures, if it is not an emergent, life-saving right then and there, they are considered elective and will get bumped down. So the more and more I started digging into this, realizing that surgeries were going to get cancelled or people were going to kind of start getting shipped out to have certain things done, you realize how many people this impacts.”The goal is to get 167 donors and save 500 lives. If you want to donate, you are asked to sign up in advance, but walk-ins are welcome. The blood drive is September 16-17 from 8 a.m. to 3p.m. at Timeless Touch Medical Aesthetics, located at 317 N. Columbia St. in Covington.
