Boy in witchcraft ring ‘made to bathe in blood and eat heart’

A boy was made to eat a heart and “drowned” in a bath of blood, a trial of an alleged witchcraft and child sex abuse ring has heard.

The child told police that he and fellow “wizards” passed around and consumed the heart and a wine glass of blood while in a circle.

He made the claims to detective constable Brian Hamilton when questioned in December 2021, the High Court in Glasgow heard on Friday.

The boy earlier told the officer that he was held under a bath of blood aged six or seven, and killed a budgie, as part of an initiation to become a wizard. He claimed he then received a wand which he and the other wizards later used to cast a
