However you thought the first half of the Chicago Bears-Kansas City Chiefs game would go, you wouldn’t have guessed just how bad it was.
The Bears were absolutely embarrassed in the first half, trailing 34-0. The offense couldn’t move the ball. The defense couldn’t stop anything. The coaching staff wasn’t prepared. Simply put, the Chiefs could do whatever they wanted. It was downright ugly.

As you can imagine, Bears fans were irate at the end of the first half. There was one overarching feeling: Someone needs to be held accountable. But will it happen?
Here’s how fans are reacting to the Bears’ embarrassing first-half effort:
Someone needs to lose their job soon. Idk who and I don’t really care but how do you allow this to continue?
— Chicago Football Connection (@CFCBears) September 24, 2023
This is infuriating. Every time the Bears play to Fields’ strengths — and he picks up first downs — they abandon him until 3rd down and the Chiefs know what’s coming. It LOOKS like Getsy is trying to sabotage Fields’ development. CRAZY.

If Poles was who he said he was he’d fire the staff after this game.
— Austin F (@PodGuyFuges) September 24, 2023
The #Bears are really the worst team in the league through three games. It’s not even close. It’s pathetic – it’s just not acceptable.
— Ben Devine (@Chicago_NFL) September 24, 2023
The Bears are an embarrassment but maybe they’re playing 4D chess for when a ripple in time sucks the whole team back into 1972
— Jeremy “Sell the team George” Layton (@JeremyLayt0n) September 24, 2023
I’m not the one to scape goat the head coach, but Chicago’s utter lack of discipline and fundamentals stems from the the top. The organization has to consider a change SOON, I’m completely serious. #DaBears #NFL

IT IS TIME: For the Chicago #Bears to blow up everything from the General Manager, head coach, and the entire current staff.
THEY NEED TO HIT THE COMPLETE RESET BUTTON.
Trade Justin Fields and whatever players with any value.
There is already a sense in league circles that…

i’m done watching. y’all enjoy. chiefs may honestly score more than miami this week.

I’m a pretty patient person when it comes to rebuilds because most of my life as a Chicago sports fan has been a rebuild, but this most definitely is not it👀 none of it pic.twitter.com/dLcuoTCX2r

Give up 70 imo, maybe it will get us the first Bears in-season staff firing in history
— DaWindyCity Productions (@dwcprodz) September 24, 2023
being a bears fan should qualify as some sort of disability
— JOE (@LeBron_Eames) September 24, 2023
I figured the Chiefs would score 30+ today but sheesh, I didn’t think they’d do it in a half!
— Robert Schmitz (@robertkschmitz) September 24, 2023
The one thing I’ve learned over the years covering this team:
Yes, it can get worse.
— Adam Hoge (@AdamHoge) September 24, 2023
The worst part of all this is the Bears will likely do absolutely nothing. Nobody will be held accountable.
— Elias Schuster (@Schuster_Elias) September 24, 2023
I’ll catch the rest of this game through moments on RedZone and the all-22 when it comes out. The 2023 Bears competing with the 2003 team for the worst season I’ve ever seen was not in my plans for this year. Just an embarrassing product through 3 weeks.
— Quinten Krzysko (@ButkusStats) September 24, 2023
I’m Done.
This team ain’t worth it. Enjoy your Sundays. This team don’t deserve our attention.
— The Irish Bears Show (@IrishBearsShow) September 24, 2023
They were mocked all week.
With a chance to make it go away they got whipped
34-0.
IN THE FIRST HALF.
Enough said.— Silvy (@WaddleandSilvy) September 24, 2023
Me looking at the Dolphins-Broncos 70-20 score: well at least the Bears won’t have the worst loss of the day

The #Bears have never fired a head coach midseason.
But if you keep Matt Eberflus after losing 31-0 at halftime – and a 3-17 record through 20 games – what message are you sending to the fans? To the players? This is simply unacceptable.
— Jacob Infante (@jacobinfante24) September 24, 2023
The entire team has quit. #Bears are a dumpster fire that somehow keeps getting worse & we’re halfway through Week 3.
The McCaskey family better have that escrow account ready because there should be a lot of folks being paid not to be here by January.
— Aaron Leming (@AaronLemingNFL) September 24, 2023
This the worst Bears team of all time. No hyperbole
— 79th & Halas Podcast (@79thAndHalas) September 24, 2023
Longest losing streak in the history of the franchise as well as every single player quitting
I know the Bears don’t fire in-season but this might be the first time
— DaWindyCity Productions (@dwcprodz) September 24, 2023
I am not even angry anymore…..I am apathetic …….and that I promise you is the WORST way to be as a fan of a team!
Cos it should hurt but I am sorry this just doesn’t…..these players, these coaches……letting everyone down…..and turning my fandom into a joke!
— Cork City Bears Fan (@BearsCork) September 24, 2023
the entire bears organization ought to be launched in the sun. 3:25 game for this? spare me
