Local blood drives seek more donors to avoid worsening shortage

There will be a blood drive at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. One of the drive organizers Pat Milbrett said it is important for younger people to get in the habit of donating blood to avoid worsening the blood shortage in the state.

“The younger crowd is not filling the spaces of the older generation that cannot donate anymore,” Milbrett said.
