Deion Sanders’ son Shilo hospitalized after Oregon loss: ‘Peeing…

Shilo Sanders’ bad time on Saturday extended far beyond Colorado’s blowout loss to Oregon.

The Buffaloes safety and son of head coach Deion Sanders was hospitalized after the game with undisclosed but painful-sounding injuries.

“I can’t say I didn’t play hard, I’m peeing blood right now,” Shilo told YouTube outlet Well Off Media as he was exiting the team’s charter plane Saturday night.

Asked if he was OK, the defensive back said, “Nah, I made a tackle and I landed on my kidney or something bro, so I gotta go to the ER and get checked.”

Deion Sanders told reporters that the situation has improved from there.

“He’s doing better,” Sanders said of his son, as covered by On3.

“We went to the hospital right after we landed. He’s doing much better. We’re praying that he heals and he’s playing this weekend. He’s a valuable part of our secondary and our team defensively.

“(Shilo’s) one of the voices on the defense and he plays with a certain physicality that we desire and we want and he’s given me daily updates trust me, and I’m praying that he can play as a father as well as a coach.”

Monday night, Oregon distributed a highlight video of their 42-6 beatdown of Colorado, which included clips of Shilo talking trash to the Ducks before the game.

“I’ll beat the f–k out of every one of y’all and your coach,” Shilo was shown telling players on Oregon. “Why y’all so little? We finna run through y’all ass.”

Shilo had six tackles Saturday at Oregon.

He is the second Colorado player to be hospitalized in as many weeks.

Two-way phenom Travis Hunter went to the hospital following a brutal hit during last week’s 43-35 double overtime win vs. Colorado State.

Monday, Deion Sanders revealed that Hunter texted him that he wouldn’t take no for an answer for a return to the field this Saturday against No. 8 USC (4-0), but Sanders said no regardless.
