The Public Health Promotion Center (PHPC) at UMass Amherst, in collaboration with students from the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, will host a series of 10 free blood pressure clinics during the fall semester.

The blood pressure clinics start on Oct. 3 at University Health Services Room 302. The clinics are free, no insurance is required, no appointments are necessary and results are confidential and not shared with anyone.

Regular blood pressure screening is important to overall health as most individuals do not have symptoms of high blood pressure. Monitoring blood pressure can alert you to a risk for a heart attack or a stroke.

This is part of the Okanagan Wellbeing Collective as a Health Promoting University and UMass Amherst’s commitment to creating, cultivating, and sustaining healthy people, places and planet.
