LANCASTER — The Star Wars Blood Drive returned Wednesday to the Lancaster School District with Star Wars-themed cupcakes to thank donors for their pint of blood.
Mike Davis, assistant superintendent of Human Resources Services, started the blood drives about 17 years ago when he was an assistant principal at Amargosa Creek Middle School and adviser to the student Star Wars Club. After four years, Davis recruited a new group of students to the community service club when he moved to Piute Middle School.
