Biannual Blood Donation Drive at the U.S. Embassy in Vientiane

Twice a year, the U.S. Embassy in Vientiane teams up with the Lao Red Cross to organize a blood donation drive. On September 26, dozens of American and Lao colleagues showed their caring for Vientiane through the donation of this life-saving resource. Giving blood is like giving the gift of life and each bag of blood donated can save up to three lives. Embassy Vientiane provided enough life-saving blood for over 120 patients, beating the Red Cross donation goal by 11 additional bags!  The U.S. Embassy is committed to helping patients in need and looks forward to continuing to partner with the Lao Red Cross to save lives.
