THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY HOSTED THE LIGHT, THE NIGHT WALK AT YEATMAN’S COVE. PEOPLE CARRIED AND THEN RELEASED LANTERNS WITH DIFFERENT COLORS. WHITE HONOR SURVIVORS, RED SUPPORTS PATIENTS AND GOLD TO REMEMBER THOSE WE’VE LOST MONEY RAISED WILL BENEFIT THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY FOR RESEARCH PATIENT SUPPORT AND THE OVERALL GOAL ENDING BLOOD CANCER. FORGET THAT MOMENT. THIS IS SO HEARTWARMING AND IT JUST FEELS SO GREAT TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS. Hundreds show out at ‘Light the Night’ to support those with blood cancer
Despite the rainy weather on Thursday night, hundreds of people showed up with their walking shoes to support people with blood cancer.The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society hosted the “Light the Night” walk at Yeatman’s Cove.At the walk, people carried and then released lanterns with different colors. White lanterns honor those who have survived blood cancer, red lanterns support patients with blood cancer and gold lanterns remember those lives lost to blood cancer.All the money raised from the walk will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for research, patient support and the overall goal of ending blood cancer.Light the Night has so far raised over $700,000 in the fight to cure cancer.
