Blood Drive in Hartland on Nov. 17

The Hartland Lions Club is organizing a community blood drive for the American Red Cross on Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to be hosted at Cromaine District Library. Search by Hartland Zip Code, 48353, and then scroll down to the Nov. 17 date to make your appointment. “Hosting a blood drive coincides with Hartland Lions Club’s core values of strengthening the community,” said Kurt Stromlund, president. “With a simple blood donation, we have the ability to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, loved one or neighbor.” Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. According to the Red Cross, type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and is often used to treat trauma patients.
