ROCKFORD, Ill. — A local veterans nonprofit partners with the Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC) for upcoming blood drives.
As Veteran’s Day approaches, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) invites Stateline communities to help those those who gave their all.
Celebrating veterans, the VFW and RRVBC will host multiple donation drives from Nov. 8 through Nov. 13.
“This simple act of serving the community with your blood donation is a great way to honor veterans in your life who have served our country,” the VFW tells 13 WREX.
Four donation centers can be found at the following locations and times:
- VFW Post 2955 and RREACH, 11385 2nd St., Roscoe: Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 12:30 to 6:30 PM.
- VFW Post 1461, 1310 W. Lincoln Ave, Belvidere: Thursday, Nov. 9 from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.

VFW Post 998 and the Stephenson County Farm Bureau, 210 W. Spring St., Freeport: Friday, Nov. 10 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- VFW Post 9739, 1310 W. Washington St., Oregon: Monday, Nov. 13 from 12:30 to 5:30 PM.
