Red Cross launches ‘Elf’ blood donation promotion to celebrate movie anniversary

Las Vegas (KSNV) — As part of a campaign to promote blood donation, the Red Cross of Southern Nevada is celebrating the 20th anniversary of a popular Christmas movie.

Starting Friday, November 10 through Thursday, November 30, blood donors will receive an exclusive pair of ‘Elf’ + Red Cross socks, while supplies last.

The initiative is not only aimed at regular donors but also encourages those who haven’t donated in a while or are considering their first-time donation all while celebrating the beloved movie’s 20th anniversary.

“The satisfaction and sense of purpose that comes from donating blood is incomparable. Our unique ‘Elf’ socks giveaway celebrates this feeling and encourages the spirit of giving,” said Rachel Flanigan, Executive Director of the American Red Cross, Southern Nevada Chapter.

“It’s not just about the socks; it’s about the difference each one of us can make in someone’s life.”
