‘Botox For Blood’: SunCoast Blood Banks Offers Black Friday Gift

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA — SunCoast Blood Centers, a blood bank exclusively serving Southwest Florida, launches a new “Donating Never Looked So Good Campaign,” which offers free Botox for blood donations, on Black Friday.

The campaign, a partnership with the Gulf Coast Institute of Rejuvenation in Lakewood Ranch, The Aesthetic Link in Apollo Beach, Kristin Eliza, ARNP Medical Aesthetics in Port Charlotte and Sunshine City Med Spa in St. Petersburg, runs through Dec. 1, according to a news release.

“As we approach the holiday season, the demand for blood donations can become critical,” Scott Bush, SunCoast Blood Centers CEO, said. “We believe there could be no better time to partner with some of the region’s leading dermatology and aesthetician practices. Our aim is not only to emphasize the importance of blood donations but also to offer our donors an exclusive opportunity to receive services from our campaign partners. We hope that ‘Donating Never Looked So Good’ will not only be a creative campaign this season but also a unique way to raise awareness of our mission.”

During the campaign’s run, all fixed sites, as well as select mobile blood drives, will provide Botox vouchers valued at up to $140 worth of injections to donors.

“As a company dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of our clients, we recognize the vital role blood donations play in our community’s overall wellness,” Dakota Ty Holt, nurse practitioner at The Aesthetic Link and campaign partner, said. “Partnering with SunCoast Blood Centers for their ‘Donating Never Looked So Good’ campaign allows us to do our part in giving back and raise awareness of their crucial mission to donate blood during this holiday season. We believe in doing our part to support the community’s health, and this initiative perfectly aligns with our values of care and compassion.”

While other blood banks take local collections and distribute them to a statewide and even out-of-state network of medical facilities, SunCoast serves Southwest Florida exclusively.

Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System including Sarasota Memorial Cancer Institute, Sarasota Memorial Venice and Sarasota Memorial North Port, Doctors Hospital Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Englewood Hospital, Desoto Memorial Hospital and Manatee Memorial as well as Moffitt Cancer Center and the U.S. Military are among SunCoast’s partners.
