TRUMAN — Admirers of the walking dead or Shakespeare will both enjoy the Truman Public School’s fall play “Shakespear Ate My Brain” It will be presented 7p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov 17 & 18, in the Truman High School auditorium. On Saturday, the senior class will host a dinner before the play as a fundraiser. Advanced tickets are available from cast members and seniors. Although the script called for a minimal stage set, Truman School currently has a theater class who have constructed an elaborate background for the “Scottish play.”
Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Truman Community Building.
The Lewisville Legion Auxiliary chicken supper will be 5 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19. Adults are $12 and children 0-9 yrs. $8.
The American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20 at the Truman Community Building. Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday. All meetings are open to the public. The city has implanted new guidelines for public comment during council meetings. Visitors may address the council by filling out a public comment form and submitting it to the mayor prior to the meeting. Public comment time is now limited to five minutes per speaker.

The MN Department of Natural Resources is waiving entrance and vehicle permit fees on Friday, Nov. 24 at all Minnesota State Parks.
A craft vendor show, bake sale and chili luncheon will be 9:30 a.m.to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2nd at the Truman Community Building. Your Christmas shopping can be complete with glass items, diamond painting, Afghans, quilts, candy, cookies, honey, Scentsy, 31 bags, Tupperware, alpaca items and much more. Support the 7th graders at their bake sale and enjoy a cup of chili, crackers, cookies and beverage for $5.
Change of date for the Truman Fire Department Santa Parade. They will again be having the Santa Parade this year, beginning at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10th. The parade is open to anyone who would like to decorate up a vehicle and have fun.
