ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – The Elyria community is rallying around a family that tragically lost a child Monday.
11-year-old Jordan Justice died unexpectedly after days with a cough, according to a GoFundMe organized to help pay the family’s medical bills.
The fundraiser says Justice fell ill with what seemed to be a normal respiratory infection Friday, and was sent home with cough medicine after seeking medical treatment.
Justice was taken to the hospital after collapsing Sunday night in the kitchen of his home, according to the fundraiser.
Jordan was life flighted to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s after CPR revived him at home, the GoFundMe says.
The fundraiser page says Jordan passed away Monday afternoon.
