Drop by the Makerspace during Open Maker Hours and create something cool to take home with you! Whether crafting or tinkering, the possibilities are as vast as your imagination! During open hours, Makerspace functions as an open workspace stocked with numerous tools and materials for free creative time. In other words, people can come in with only their imagination, create to their heart’s content, and leave with a completed project!
Toddler Storytime

Join Mrs. Wendy for this fun, active storytime designed just for toddlers. We will enjoy rhymes, flannel stories, songs, books, and instruments. After storytime, we’ll enjoy some playtime together.
V.I.P. (Very Important People) – A Book Club for Picture Books

No need to read ahead of time; we will read a different picture book about a historically important person each week, followed by an activity related to their life.
The Pencil Pack – Tween Journalism Club

Ages 8-12
Interested in journalism, writing, drawing, or photography? Come join the Pencil Pack! Add your spark to our monthly library newspaper in this journalism club for beginners. We’ll learn the basics of writing a good article, then we’ll create content to be published in our own monthly library newspaper, just for kids!
Dungeon Academy – Intro to D&D for Tweens

Ages 8-12
Have you heard of Dungeons & Dragons? Have you been wanting to learn how to play or join a group? Now’s your chance! This introductory class is the perfect opportunity to learn about the game! You can begin playing in a safe, consistent environment with other kids your age and your Tween Librarian and Game Master, Ms. Jordan. Registration required.

Rising Stars is an acting class for kids! In the first few sessions we’ll cover the basics of acting. During the remainder of the program, our young actors will be auditioning for and then performing in a show! Registration required.

Visit the Benton branch for a short storytime with a different Youth Services librarian every week. We’ll sing songs and read stories starting at 10:30 AM in the Storytime Room. We can’t wait to see you there!
