Lutheran Church to Host Blood Drive

Lutheran Church in the Foothills is holding a blood drive in response to the urgent need for blood donations on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in Fellowship Hall.
The American Red Cross has reported that every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood and/or platelets. This supply can’t always meet demand, because only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood annually. Each new donor helps the Red Cross meet patient needs. Those who would like to donate at the blood drive can make an appointment at redcrossblood.org.
LCIF would also like to remind the community of its ongoing collection drive to help feed the hungry. Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m., or anytime during the week at the church’s office.
Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request/offer help, email [email protected], or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
