Blood drive competition underway in Berrien County

A competition is tied into a local blood drive.

First responders in Berrien County are adding competition to a series of blood drives hosted by Versiti Blood Centers.

Community members are invited to come and donate blood this week and, while they’re there, they can add a vote for who asked them to go to the event.

So far, the police lead the way with most visited donors with two drives already happening.

ABC 57 News reports that Versiti Blood Centers are pushing to get donations this week, since the summer months is usually the lowest.
