Blood donations sought to offset shortfall

According to the American Red Cross, there was a shortfall of about 25,000 blood donations in the first two months of the summer. This shortfall, according to the Red Cross, makes it hard to keep hospital shelves stocked with lifesaving blood products.

Blood donations are needed from type O negative and positive, B negative and A negative donors. Platelet donations are also needed.
