SiPhox Health raises $27 million to develop at-home blood tests

SiPhox Health announced a $27M Series A funding round led by Intel Capital to continue development of its at-home blood tests. Founded by MIT scientists Diedrik Vermeulen and Michael Dubrovsky, SiPhox Health can test for 17 biomarkers including inflammation, cardiovascular health and metabolic fitness. Its current offering relies on mail-in samples while its at-home device proceeds through the FDA regulatory process.

Interest in and accessibility to analysis of blood biomarkers in elite sport has grown in recent years. Orreco, Inside Tracker and Fitnescity are among the entrants in the space. SiPhox Health is a graduate of the Y Combinator accelerator has integrations with wearables such as Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura and Whoop.
