Blood drives next week

SHERIDAN — Vitalant — the sole provider of blood to Sheridan County and Sheridan Memorial Hospital — will be hosting a three-day blood drive from Sept. 25 to Sept. 27 at the Best Western Sheridan Center.

The drive comes as there remains a critical shortage of blood, according to Vitalant. The organization said there is a critical shortage of blood currently and that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.
