Community members help battle blood shortage

As demand for donors of all blood types increases nationwide, several St. Joseph residents stepped up to do their part Friday.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Hills Shopping Center on Friday, the Northwest Missouri chapter of the American Red Cross hosted a blood drive that was open, by appointment, to all who wanted to help.
