Meeting a local family who relies on the help of its community for blood donations

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. It affects nearly 100,000 Americans, especially people in the African-American community. One of those is 7-year-old Marquon Herring. Mikey Hood met with Marquon and his family before she took her maternity leave. Here’s their story:
