Cincinnati Animal CARE pausing dog operations due to uptick in infections

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society says it will be briefly pausing all dog operations for the general public.

The rescue posted on Facebook that there’s been an uptick in dogs presenting with symptoms of an upper respiratory infection.

Staff say they don’t want to alarm anyone, but with a high volume of unvaccinated stray dogs coming into the shelter, they don’t want to take any unnecessary risks with their population and the community.

Cats in the shelter won’t be affected.
