Thumper Bear dies from infection that killed two other cubs

TOWNSEND, Tenn. (WCYB) — Appalachian Bear Rescue announced on Monday that Thumper Bear, a bear that was rescued from Elizabethton, died from an infection.

This is after it was announced this month that two other bears died from the same infection.

Appalachian Bear Rescue said that Thumper Bear passed away at The University of Tennessee Colle of Veterinary Medicine, after they could not do anything more for him.
