LifeStream to hold Community Blood Drive

LifeStream will have a Community Blood Drive at Imperial Valley College on Wednesday, November 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Donors receive a free mini-physical which includes readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol levels, iron level and temperature with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal. Donating blood takes about an hour.

March and Ash to host Holiday Food Drive

March and Ash, in partnership with Imperial Valley Food Bank, will be collecting non-perishable food items starting Friday, December 1 through Sunday, December 17.

Donations will only accepted in store at March and Ash, located at 2433 Marshall Avenue. Those making donations can let the receptionist know they have food items for the drive.

Pop top, or easy open cans are strongly preferred. Canned food items needed include meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, soups and stews. Other needed items are peanut butter, cereal and oatmeal, supplemental shakes like Ensure, and infant formula. Glass containers, homemade food, opened food or expired items will not be accepted. Food must be in sealed packaging.
